Beginner Tricks | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Here are three basic tricks you need to know to start off as a beginner. It will probably take a good couple of months to master them. Ollie--- Step 1. Place your front foot anywhere behind the front screws and yer back foot on the tail. Step 2. Pop the front of the board up by pressing down with rear foot. Step 3. Slide front foot forward to even out the board. Step 4. bend knees and sk8 away. Varial-- Step 1. Place feet in ollie position with front foot slanted like this /. Step 2. Pop up board while pushing front foot a little forward and kicking board underneath you. You should at least go for a 180'. PoP Shuvit-- Step 1. Place feet in ollie position with front foot slanted toward the front of the board. Step 2. Pop up and spin the board in a 180' to the left and land it. Once you got these down you can call yourself a skater. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Advice | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
A lot of the times people have trouble landing their ollie because they can only get one foot to land it.---- When ollieing, try to bend your knees straight down instead of leaning forward a little. This will keep you a little more well-balanced. You should also do this for other tricks. | The first week or so, beginning skaters get discouraged with themselves and often quit. This is normal to want to quit but remember the best skaters went through the same thing but still stuck with it. If you want to be the best you have to practice almost everyday. I know falling sucks but think of falling as for your own good toward skating. Good brands to buy from: Zero!!, Independant, Mercury!!, Black Panther!!, Flameboy!!, Blind, Maple, Venture, and Blank.
